Eastland Port - Gisborne
Eastland Port is New Zealand's second-largest and most efficient log exporter, and the most easterly commercial shipping port in New Zealand. We are located in the heart of Gisborne city, in a special part of Aotearoa where the work/life balance is real.
We operate a fleet of harbour tugs and workboats and, due to internal career progression, now have a rare opportunity for an experienced Marine Electrotechnician to join the marine team.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated with a positive attitude, and will have extensive experience with:
- The operation and structured maintenance of marine electrical systems
- Fault finding on different voltage systems and multi-phase systems
- Electrical testing and tagging
- Marine engineering (minimum MEC 5 qualification desirable)
- Planned maintenance systems
- Computers and general IT
Electrical registration with ERWB, and experience with SAP planned maintenance systems, would be advantageous.
The role is full time. In addition to planned maintenance and operations, the role involves elements of on-call duties and marine engineering relief work on a 5 days in 7 basis, including some weekend work.
Eastland Port is part of Eastland Group, which specialises in regional infrastructure in the maritime, aviation and energy sectors. We aim to deliver consistent growth and excellent returns to our shareholder, Trust Tairawhiti, for the ultimate benefit of the whole community.
We offer excellent conditions of employment, competitive remuneration, and a generous relocation package. If you would like to join us and work for an organisation that values its people, please apply today.
Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
